BabyMatters is a brand new Belgian company, established in 2008 by people with experience as distributors of baby products in the Benelux. BabyMatters develops and produces new and innovative products with a functional design for babies and toddlers.

We are now launching a new range of baby and toddler products for the bathroom called DotBaby.
Our first product, the DotPot combines a series of products designed specially for the different phases of toilet training.

The DotPot is a potty, a toilet trainer and a stool: a 3-in-1 product.

The vision of BabyMatters

BabyMatters designs and produces articles for babies and toddlers that contribute to our vision. Ecological awareness, functionality, quality and design are the key concepts.

We are calling our range of bathroom products DotBaby. The first product in this range is the extremely clever DotPot, a smart design that combines three functions in one: a potty, a toilet trainer and a stool.

You won’t find any over-hyped products in our range, only quality articles which are manufactured in an environment-friendly manner, with added value for the user and an innovative and functional design.

Every child is unique and some children toilet-train easier and faster that others. At BabyMatters, we go a step further and believe that functionality is closely related to safety and ease of use for parents and the child.

The DotPot is a combination of different products – a potty, a toilet trainer and a stool – that helps with the toilet training of your child. The DotPot, a combination of potty, toilet trainer and step-up stool, has been approved according to the CE standard.

Never say potty to a DotPot. The DotPot is a unique innovation that consists of three parts and it is guaranteed to last for many years. The Dotpot is a long term investment while you go through all the stages of toilet training.

	The Dotpot as a classic potty The potty offers optimum sitting comfort for your child because it is not too low to the ground. The removable inside potty is easy to clean. The handle provides support for the child’s back. It's also handy for carrying the potty around. The potty has an anti-slip layer underneath to prevent sliding on slippery floors.
	The DotPot as a toilet trainer To big for your DotPot potty? Use the toilet trainer as an over-the-toilet seat. Thanks to the anti-slip system, the toilet trainer doesn’t wobble and stays put on the seat. You must feel safe when going on the “big toilet” for the first time. After using the DotPot, your child is already familiar with the shape of its successor, the toilet trainer, and there are no new obstacles to be overcome.
	The Dotpot as a step-up stool In the first place, this can be used as a step-up stool for the “big toilet”. But even after your toddler can go to the toilet on their own, you can continue to use the DotPot. It’s an ideal step-up stool for the bathroom wash basin, the kitchen sink, cupboards, etc. The step-up stool has an anti-slip on the surface that touches the floor to prevent sliding on slippery floors. It can carry up to 40 kilos (about age 10).

Our environment-friendly and strong Dotpot

Your toddler is only small but he or she certainly requires a heap of accessories. Your home – and especially your bathroom – is suddenly full of plastic items that you need to find storage space for. The DotPot contributes to solving your storage problems by reducing the number of products that you need throughout the toilet training phase of your child. The DotPot combines three products – a potty, a toilet trainer and a stool – all combined in a smart design that provides all the necessary comforts. 

Today, the DotPot is 100% free of hazardous substances. The DotPot does not contain any phthalates or bisphenol a. At the end of its life, after many years of use, the DotPot can be recycled safely. This approach is part of the cradle-to-cradle philosophy. It was precisely this ambitious approach and the challenge of sustainable entrepreneurship that convinced the jury to choose BabyMatters as one of the winners of the "Discover Eternal Life - Unlimited Use" competition in 2009. This initiative by Minister Van Brempt was meant to encourage the principles of cradle-to-cradle among Flemish companies, organisations and students involved in product development.

Cradle-to-cradle is a production method that reduces the ecological footprint of products to a minimum by extending the life of products made from pure materials through the recycling of these raw materials for use in new products.

Design and nominations for Dotpot

We paid special attention to the shape of our DotPot. The DotPot is extremely functional and simply looks very pretty. This means it fits in every bathroom. For children, the DotPot resembles a bucket that they are used to playing with and are not afraid of.

The DotPot is a strong product which has been nominated in several countries by professional juries for innovative products. 

Every year, more than 4000 entries from more than 50 countries compete for the prestigious red dot design award.  This internationally renowned “red dot” has been awarded since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen to products with an exceptional design.

We are currently also nominated for the “Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2011”, the highest official distinction for design, awarded in Germany.
