What data do we collect about you and why?

Statistics - Google Analytics

When you visit our website we retain certain data about you in the form of statistics using  Google Analytics. This data comprises, among other things, the browser type, the IP address, the operating system you use and the domain name of the website that sent you to our website. We use these statistics to analyze our visitors’ surfing behaviour and, based on this, to optimize our website for our users. The statistics are completely anonymous so you have nothing to fear.  

Google Analytics protects your data, is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and therefore respects your privacy. You can find more information about this in Google Analytics’ privacy policy.

Campaign monitor

When you read our newsletter we also collect certain statistics via Campaign Monitor. Specifically, information about your browser type, unique identification and the number of times you open the newsletter and/or click on a link. We use this data to improve our newsletter or, if necessary, to enable us to correctly analyze any problems.

Contact information

Contact form

If you complete the contact form on our website, we retain the information that you fill in. We save, in a secure way, your first name, surname, email address, message, IP address and time sent. This is necessary in order to be able to contact you in the correct way.

We use Akismet (Automattic) to filter submitted contact films for spam. Akismet checks your message, your email address and your IP address for spam and saves this information temporarily on secure servers in the EU and the US. You can find their privacy policy here .

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter we save your email address. We need that information in order to be able to send you our newsletter. Your email address is saved securely by Campaign Monitor. Campaign Monitor protects your data, is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and therefore respects your privacy. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter you can unsubscribe at any time.

Online order

If you place an online order we need your details. By entering these details on the website, you give us permission to use them. We use them to complete the administrative side of your order and also for delivery, invoicing, marketing and advertising and promotional activities.

We do, of course, keep this information private and the data is saved securely on our secure, non-public database. There is no need to worry, the data is certainly not passed on to third parties. In addition, as a Buyer you have the right to request to see or change this information at any time. 

Who do we share your data with?

As stated above, we use data processors who, at our request, are responsible for processing personal data and who ensure that the website works correctly technically (data transmission). These data processors guarantee your privacy via a data processor contract we enter into with them.

How do we protect your data?

Protection of your personal data is extremely important to us, which is why we have taken the necessary technical and organizational measures regarding this. For example, we use a secure connection and save your data on a secure database. In this way we endeavour to take the measures necessary to prevent theft, loss or unauthorized access.

How long do we keep your data?

Your personal data is saved after you sign up for our newsletter and/or after submitting a contact form.

What rights do you have?

As a consumer you also have a number of rights in relation to your personal data. If you wish to invoke one of these rights it is best to send an email directly to hello@BABYmatters.com. We do our best to process all requests within 30 working days.

Right of access and rectification

You have the right to look at all personal data that we collect about you. You can have any incorrect or incomplete data rectified or removed.

Right to be forgotten

A visitor always has the right to have their data removed from our databases.

Right to complain

If you are of the opinion that we have processed your data irregularly, you have the right to complain to the Privacy Commission.

Right of opposition

Any user or visitor whose personal data is collected has the right to oppose the processing of that data.

Right to restrict processing

You have the right to (temporarily) stop the processing of your personal data.

Modification

Zanzibar has the right to modify this privacy statement if necessary. It is therefore important to take a regular look at this page. The privacy policy was last modified on 28 May 2018.

This website uses cookies. These are small files containing data that are sent by our website to your browser and saved on your hard disk. This data is used to identify a returning visitor and so better tailor the website to them. The visitor will be able to log in quicker as a result and possibly see adapted content.
