How do you smoothly leave the house with your newborn?

You often have to lift your baby out of the car or you often have to put your baby in the car? You often travel shorter distances? Then a travel system is what you’re looking for for you and your baby. We gladly give you three tips so you can buy the ideal travel system for your baby.

What to watch out for when you buy a car seat for your baby?

1. How to fit a car seat on your stroller

If you can use your car seat as a handy travel system, depends on whether or not you can fit your car seat on your stroller. The iZi Go Modular i-Size car seats of BeSafe for newborns and babies fit on almost all strollers. You simply have to use the standard adapters which are delivered with the stroller (or which you can buy separately).

2. Your baby has to be well protected against the sun and wind

When you place your car seat on the stroller, it’s very important that your baby lies well protected underneath the large sunshade which has a high sun protection factor.

The BeSafe iZi Go Modular i-Size is the ideal companion, because these car seats offer the best protection, thanks to the very large sunshade, which blocks UV light up to factor 50+.

3. Your car seat also has to protect your baby against cold

Babies lie deep and ergonomic in the iZi Go Modular i-Size car seats of BeSafe, but still an adjusted footmuff is no unnecessary luxury. The footmuffs of Voski are one-size-fits-all, but they are still specifically designed for the BeSafe car seats. Thanks to the holes in the right places, the belts fit perfectly through the footmuff, in order for you to safely buckle your baby up without a thick layer between the belts and your baby. So don’t put on their winter jacket, and dress your baby in different layers. Then they will be warm enough, once they’re seated in the cozy Voksi footmuffs!

What’s important to keep in mind when you use your car seat in a travel system?

In the first place, car seats are still car seats, not made to replace strollers. That’s why we recommend you not to place your baby (especially newborns!) for too long in its car seat. Even though the BeSafe car seats are very comfortable, it’s recommended to take your baby each 1,5 hour or 2 hours out of its car seat.

Happy Travelling!
