Mommy Maartje lets her son Vito travel in our BeSafe-carseat!

Maartje, the owner of Barts boekje became the mom of a beautiful baby boy, Vito, a few weeks ago. With his arrival she had to look for the perfect car seat for her baby. She found it at BABYmatters and BeSafe!

On her own blog, Barts Boekje, Maartje shares her search for the perfect carseat:

It’s only fair to say: I love shopping for Vito, my little baby boy. It’s my favorite thing to do, EXCEPT when it’s necessary. Because it’s safe. And necessary. Then I really dislike shopping because those things are usually extremely expensive and never as pretty as I want them to be. I’d rather spend my time going to a one-stop shop where they have the most beautiful selection of must have products, instead of doing research. This shop exists and it even has a website : BABYmatters. Exactly, a clear name: for everything that matters when it comes to your baby (yet the more attractive products).

That’s how we came across the car seat issue. It is quite important as Vito already goes to his grandparents in Brabant once a week (so they can babysit all day while I’m writing these kind of blogs). The car seat had to be super safe (because all the clichés are true: only the best is good enough), a pretty color would be nice as would be a convertible car seat. (Vito’s dad is almost 2 meters tall). Most importantly, the car seat should be practical as we don’t have the patience (very early in the morning) to linger and to fiddle with car seat belts. At BABYmatters and more precisely the brand BeSafe, we found our perfect match.

According to reviews and consumers associations and more of this kind of credible sources, this was the safest option, so we believe it too. Moreover, the car seat was delivered with a handy clicking system (praise the Lord for this kind of systems) and the car seat came with a nice color. We were as happy as we could be. Just a hint: buy the baby mirror immediately. During the first years of his life your baby sits in a rear-facing position in the car so you can’t see his little face. Ours always fell asleep in the car (wonderful) but when you don’t hear him for an hour, it’s nice to know that we can check that he’s still there.

Just saying: don’t stay too long on the BABYmatters website. Before you know it, those practical must-buys turn into a real shopping spree. Which it’s very easy thanks to the idiot-proof system (which isn’t a luxury being a young mom with sleep deprivation): clear buttons on the site indicate what you might need: in the car, on the go, eating and drinking, etc. Easy peasy.

As a result, I want to buy the Stockholm Stroller with the golden frame when Vito is a bit older. No, I have to buy it. Because it has a golden frame. And a print. Just saying.

The Stockholm baby carriage is unfortunately out of our assortment. Check out the new Mondo Stroller by Elodie Details here.
