Modular play: what is it?

Sustainable toy

Because of the modular concept, children can play for a very long time with MODU and still be interested. Moreover, the blocks and pegs have a long product life.

MODU chose durable materials like EVA foam for the blocks and food-grade ABS for the pegs. The storage bag is made from 100% recycled coton.

EVA is the abbreviation of ethylene-vinyl acetate. It’s a sturdy wear-resistant synthetic that is sprayed in foam form. EVA foam:

• doesn’t deform easily
• isn’t easily damaged
• is stain resistant and easy to maintain
• is odorless and non-toxic

Food-grade ABS is a safe plastic used in food processing industries. This type of plastic is very resistant against strain and wear, which gives it a long life. The plastic MODU pegs have a long product life. They are also BPA free and dishwasher safe.

TIP: Clean the blocks with a cloth, take them in bath or put them in the dishwasher (max. 40°C). If you put them in the dishwasher, make sure the surface is flat and no metal rods can get into the blocks.
